In 2022 is er een enqu\u00eate gehouden door een wereldwijde investeerder genaamd \u2018Eight Roads\u2019 onder de jonge generatie in de technologiesector in heel Europa om een beter inzicht te krijgen in wat hen motiveert. Deze landen waren hierbij betrokken; het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Ierland, Zweden, Spanje, Frankrijk, Nederland en Duitsland.<\/p>\n<p>Uit dit onderzoek kwam naar voren dat er verschillende manieren zijn waarop bedrijven hun talentvolle jonge medewerkers kunnen aantrekken en behouden. Bedrijven moeten aandacht besteden aan datgene dat werknemers zich veilig laat voelen en hen een gevoel van waardering geeft. Ook belangrijk volgens het onderzoek is dat zij zich gesteund voelen.<\/p>\n<p>Bijzonder is dat de opkomst van kunstmatige intelligentie geen negatieve invloed heeft op het vertrouwen van de werknemers. Werknemers lijken er vertrouwen in te hebben dat AI hen zal versterken in plaats van vervangen. Meer dan de helft van de respondenten (56%) zou ervoor kiezen om vier of vijf dagen per week op kantoor te werken, terwijl slechts 9% volledig op afstand wil werken. De waarde die ze uit het kantoor halen, komt voort uit de mensen; ze willen in de buurt zijn van hun team, hun manager en de bedrijfscultuur. Werkgevers zouden zich moeten richten op het cre\u00ebren van een omgeving waarin mensen effectief kunnen samenwerken, terwijl ze niet uit het oog verliezen dat de meeste werknemers nog steeds enige flexibiliteit waarderen.<\/p>\n<p>Een reden voor het bieden van flexibiliteit is het helpen beheren van stress. Meer dan de helft van de jonge werknemers zegt dat hun werk &#8216;zeer&#8217; of &#8216;enigszins&#8217; van invloed is op hun mentale gezondheid, wat werkgevers zorgen moet baren.<\/p>\n<p>De jonge generatie geeft in het onderzoek een duidelijke boodschap: naast competitieve salarissen en voordelen, zoeken ze naar werkplekken met een hoger doel. Bedrijven die deze behoeften begrijpen, zullen slagen in het geven van een gevoel van zekerheid aan de jonge medewerkers. Ondanks de voortdurende economische onzekerheid bewijzen de jonge professionals van vandaag hoe veerkrachtig ze zijn. Ze weten zich aan te passen aan de omstandigheden. Voor jongere werknemers is economische onrust een constante in hun carri\u00e8res.
